With this in mind, Cuetec set out to develop the Cynergy family of high-performance carbon fiber composite shafts. When Cuetec first approached five-time U.S. Open Champion Shane Van Boening about creating a carbon fiber shaft, he emphasized, “If I can’t feel it, I can’t use it.” Shane’s point was spot-on. While the billiards industry had focused on reducing deflection, it had overlooked the importance of feel and feedback. To address this, Cuetec’s ACD (Advanced Composites Division) engineers designed the Cynergy series of carbon fiber playing shafts – Shafts that harnessed carbon fiber technology to deliver exceptional low-deflection accuracy, power, and spin without sacrificing feel and feedback. Cuetec legacy cues may have a connecting joint of 20.00 mm , whereas a modern cue typically has a connecting joint size of 21.30mm.
